Work out what your print really costs

From one job file to a full running study, step by step. Your file is measured on your own device and never uploaded.

Where these figures come from

How many quarter sheets a toner set prints
From Makka's own running on everyday print-shop work, counted on the 33 × 48.7 cm quarter sheet, one side. For the C5100S and C5200S the figure is worked out from the cartridge lives Ricoh publishes, on the same work.
The toner set price
Makka's price on the date shown, in Egyptian pounds. Prices change and offers lower them at times, so confirm the current price with sales.
The toner in your file
The tool opens your file on your own device, measures how much of the copy each of the four colours takes, and sets that against the everyday work the set figure is counted on. That gives the toner of the printing sheet, then of one card or flyer, then of the order.
It is an estimate, not an invoice
The figure moves a little with the machine, the stock and the print settings. Black is counted as four-colour black. A fifth colour in your file (white, clear, gold, silver) is not in the figure and is costed apart.
What the order's toner figure leaves out
Paper is added when you enter the price of the printing sheet. Parts, electricity and labour come in the study step, on your own numbers.
Want the real figure on your press?
Weigh the cartridges before and after a run and the tool works out what was actually used. Or come and print your own sample and see the quality for yourself.

Questions people ask

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file is measured on your device and is not sent to us. Only the result of the measurement is kept on your device, so you can carry on where you stopped.

What is a quarter sheet?

A full sheet is cut into four quarters of 33 × 48.7 cm each. That is the sheet that goes into the press and the one Makka's figures are counted on. If you print on a 33 × 44 quarter sheet, A3 or A4, choose it and the tool counts on that.

How do I enter the paper price?

As the price of the sheet that goes into the press, the quarter sheet. If you buy full sheets, divide the price by four.

How does the tool get the cost of one card?

You tell it what your file is: a card, a flyer, a brochure, an invitation. It works out how many fit on the printing sheet and divides the sheet's toner by that. You can change the count if you impose differently.

How are two sides counted?

A two-page file is counted as front and back, and the toner of both sides is in the quarter-sheet figure.

How accurate is it?

It rests on your own file and on a real running figure, so it is close, but it remains an estimate. To check it, use the cartridge weighing on your own press.

Why is there no machine price?

A machine's price depends on its configuration. Ask sales for a quote and you will get one for your work.

And the cost of parts?

We send it with your study on WhatsApp, for the model you are looking at.

Which currency?

Egyptian pounds. Outside Egypt it is the same price converted to your currency.
